Penis enlargement methods

Penis enlargement, sometimes amusingly called male enlargement, is a technique that involves increasing the volume, length and firmness of the male penis.

How to enlarge a penis

Procedures range from exercise to stretching devices and surgeries, with reports of successes and failures from around the world. Some of them are pure scams, while others can be successful. Often, in advertising fake products, the difference between a temporary increase, or an erection, and a permanent increase is intentionally distorted.

One legitimate study was done specifically regarding penis enlargement; where it turned out that any statements of significant and steady growth could be attributed to biased or unsystematic, unverified objective research, and could be on the side of the interests and emotions of the source. There is currently no evidence that there are non-surgical methods that continuously increase both the thickness and length of a normal penis. A general study on the safety and efficacy (or lack thereof) of ingredients of various pharmaceutical and quasi-pharmaceutical preparations has been conducted; but so far nothing has been found to compel traditional medicine to use them. It is also characteristic of some invasive procedures, the negative results of which vary from skin tears and scars to long-term loss of sexual function. As a result of the speculative nature of any hope of "improvement" and the many known cases of chronic trauma involved in this attempt, many professionals are skeptical about the subject and tend to avoid this area.

Much of the commercial market for penis enlargement procedures is based on unverified claims that a large penis increases sexual strength and attraction to a potential partner.

Enlargement of a normal penis differs from seeking relief from the well-known health condition of microelements, where surgery can intervene to increase the size of the urinary tract or sexual function. Concerns about penis size can be (in extreme cases) a psychological / psychiatric condition that is best dealt with by qualified physicians.

Penis enlargement surgery

There are several types of surgery, each of which carries the risk of similar complications. The Second International Conference on Sexual Dysfunctions concluded that most men will not want to undergo any surgery if they are properly informed about the approximate consequences and risks of complications.

Tablets and supplements

Penis enlargement pills, patches, ointments are usually advertised all over the internet. Many products contain harmless substances, but there are many products that have not been tested for safety and side effects at all, and no product has been scientifically proven to be effective.

Physical methods of magnification

Various physical methods have been used in an attempt to enlarge the male penis. To date, none of them have been effective. Techniques include stretching, increasing with small weights, and increasing blood flow and / or blood pressure in the penis. There is also a significant "overlap" between methods designed to enlarge the penis and methods designed to achieve a different effect, specific problems such as reversible impotence, prolonged erection duration, improved sexual orgasm and so on.

Penis pump

A penile pump is a cylinder located in the penis that has a manual or stand-alone pump that creates a partial vacuum around the penis that increases as blood flows there. When the vacuum increases, then the pressure in the blood vessels of the penis increases; too much vacuum causes damage to blood vessels.

Pumps can be used to temporarily overcome the symptoms of impotence, but they do not cure the disease itself: annular garters must be used to keep blood trapped inside the penis, otherwise the erection will die out. The pumps can work even when nerves or blood vessels are affected, which prevents a natural erection, but excessive or prolonged use (over a few hours) will cause long-term damage.

Pumps must be used very carefully to avoid serious injury: if there is too much enthusiasm, blood vessels can burst and blisters appear.

Kazem, Hosseini and Alizadeh investigated the effectiveness of such pumps for permanent penis enlargement. They studied 37 men whose penis was shorter than 10 centimeters and did not notice a significant change in penis length after six months of using the pumps, although 30% of them were satisfied with the method. The conclusion of the article suggests that vacuum treatment of the penis is not an effective method for its enlargement, but it provides some men with a certain psychological satisfaction.

The pumps have been used successfully in the treatment of men with Peyronie’s disease, which causes unusual shortening and curvature of the penis. A study by the Department of Urology in London, on 31 men, found "clinically and statistically significant improvement in penis length, angle of curvature and pain after 12 weeks of using a vacuum pump". In this study, subjects with Peyronie’s disease were pumped twice daily for ten minutes for 12 weeks. Additional penis length, averaging 0. 5 centimeters, was a side effect found in about one-third of subjects and was not the focus of the study.

Clamp

Clamping is a very risky and dangerous method. The purpose of the clamp is to increase the length of the penis by means of compression devices such as a shoelace, a cable clamp, a tight ring, which are used to restrict the flow of blood from the organs. The device is securely attached to the base of the penis, and the man is engaged in "promotion" (prolonged masturbation). The metal ring is dangerous because the blood in the penis gets stuck, which can be the reason for the impossibility of subsequent removal of the ring without first aid through amputation or sawing off the ring. Tightening can cause catastrophic long-term damage to the penis.

Hand exercises

Jelq

Jelqing is a method of physical therapy designed to achieve "natural penis enlargement" by increasing blood pressure and circulation. This is done by successively stroking the penis in a squeezing motion from its base to the glans; special devices have been created to achieve the same effect. This movement is reminiscent of a husband.

According to a BJUI article, the method is of ancient Arabic origin; the Arabic word for "milking" is sometimes claimed as the etymological root of the term, but this is a controversial issue and the actual origin of the term becomes unclear.

Despite unsubstantiated statements by supporters of the method about its effectiveness, there is no medical opinion that confirms its effectiveness. In addition, medical journalist Christopher Wanjek said the claim that the method would "increase the cavities of the penis, which are filled with blood to increase erections, is biologically meaningless. "

Although considered the safest of all "radical" penis enlargement methods, yelking can cause blood vessels to rupture, scarring, pain, distortion and desensitization of the penis.

Cosmetic methods

Instead of changing the actual size of your penis, you can make it bigger by removing pubic hair or simply by losing weight. Circumcision is also sometimes stated (jokingly) to make the penis more visible, both more and less.
